Hedgehammer! Sunday’s listings – Objects of wearable beauty

And so, the wait is almost over! The excitement is palpable, the anticipation electric! Yes, Hedgehammer is almost upon us. The gavel of the Hedge is poised to hammer out the first Hedgespoken auction tonight at 7.30pm (GMT)

Here is what’s up for your delectation and delight this evening – we have a dazzling array of OBJECTS OF WEARABLE BEAUTY.

Each listing has a link to the page where you’ll be able to bid on the item once the auction has started… You’ll know it has started, because I, Tom, your auction-master of Hedgehammer, will tell you in the comments… We’ll be prompt, though, so refresh your pages at 7.30pm and you’ll be in line for some old-school auction excitement!

For all the details of how to bid, how to pay, and so on, visit the ‘How to…’ guide here (this’ll open in a new window or tab – you might want to keep it open while the auctions are running…) The full listing for all the auctions (so far – there are still a few last-minute offerings coming in…) can be found here.

Just as a suggestion, you might want to keep tabs or windows open for all the items you’re interested in, so that you can flick between them, refreshing frequently, so that you don’t miss out… And remember, this is all in aid of bolstering the Hedgespoken coffers so that we can run some of the workshops and events that we’ve written about here.

So, without further ado, here are today’s extraordinary items for your perusal and coveting. See you in the auction room at 7.30pm (GMT)!

Next up, is an enchanting and beautiful piece of silversmithing by jeweller Claire Dean of Where The Wild Roses Grow:

Claire says:

I would like to offer a little silver book/grimoire pendant for your auction.
I will make it to order for the winning bidder and can inscribe a few favourite personal words or a dedication (chosen by the buyer if they wish) inside the front and back covers. It will be made from pure silver, have a 3mm moonstone on the front, will have tiny real recycled paper pages, will be fully openable, and will hang from a fine silk ribbon (again the winning buyer can choose the colour from the ribbons I have available). The tiny key and padlock charms are fine silver too. It measures approx 1.8 x 1.5 cm and will weigh approx 4-5gm.
These sell for £125-150 depending on what extras I put on – they are small but take a long time to make!
